Founded in 1990, the professional Guangxi Fine Arts Publishing House (GFAPH) mainly focus on publishing art theories, technique courses and reference books, such as albums, picture books, New Year pictures, wall calendars, posters, calligraphies, photographs, tourist guides etc. As it has published more than 4000 books after its foundation, and as it was in the top 100 publishing houses in comprehensive competitive power in the Ninth Five-Year Plan Period in China, it has been regarded as one of the most influential publishing houses in fine arts both in art circle and in publishing in China.

In the National Books Award, An Illustrated Hundred-year-history of The Oil Painting in China (1840-1949) got the Nominee in the Third, Selected Works of Qi Baishi from Secret Collection in Beijing Art Academy got the same in the Fourth, and Complete Works of Chinese Folk Arts: Accessories got the Honor in the Sixth.
    In copyright trade, GFAPH tries its best to find various ways in international publishing cooperation, completely tapping the rich overseas publishing sources and extending international book market. Some books, including the picture book Reviving Ginseng which is adapted from famous Chinese classic novel Journey to the West (Xi You Ji), Genre Art Series of Guangxi Nationalities, Complete Works of Chinese Folk Arts: Accessories, Details in Anhui Sculpture which show excellent traditional cultures in China, export their copyrights early or late to the organizations in Sweden and Taiwan region. In importing copyright trade, GFAPH encourages that the trade services for our domestic market, emphasizing on quality, which has succeeded in every book in the copyright trade and got an outstanding result. The trade list becomes long, containing The Encyclopedia of Visual Art, Series of Sculpture Techniques, Series of Dynamic Figure Drawing, Bereman Body Anatomy in Drawing Course, etc. Reprinted for 8 times and reached more than 70 000 in recent two years, Bereman Body Anatomy in Drawing Course becomes the best selling book after it has been sold like hot cakes.
    Approved separately by the Textbook Committee of the Ministry of Education in April 2004 and April 2005, Fine Arts (18 Textbooks published by GFAPH for primary schools and junior middle schools in the newest standard) is the unique textbook series of fine arts used in the West in the mainland of China at present.
